XCube is a physical display management platform that enables Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) agencies to very cost effectively implement robust video wall and remote display systems. The total cost of implementing an XCube based video wall system is often an order of magnitude less than that of traditional, monolithic video wall systems.

The platform is highly reliable and modular, offering intelligent real-time monitoring and management, a modern browser-based user interface, and a fully featured (REST) web API for external systems integration.

The platform is highly scalable through the addition of XCube device units, with each deployment capable of managing multiple video walls and remote displays. The platform’s central / management software can be deployed on a private virtualized environment, bare metal server, or commercial cloud environment.

1.4 Platform Hosting

XCube device firmware leverages open-source technologies written in Go and C/C++ to deliver high-quality video playback with low latency and resource consumption. The XCube Display Manager (DM) is the central component of the platform, which handles control, monitoring, and configuration operations.
